Your potential heating equipment at a glance
Furances
Gas-fired, oil-fired, or propane,
an age old air-air style of heating style of equipment common place inside many of homes built in the DMV.

Boilers
Similar to a furnace, a boiler is a historically native style of heating equipment with one distinct difference, it's water-air. Often paired with radiators instead of a fan, it sends hot water throughout the radiators to keep your home warm.
Heat Pumps
Relatively newer to the game, heat pumps use nearly all of the same existing components as your A/C, except redirected, and usually with some extra heat to provide a more environmentally (and gas bill) friendly alternative to keeping you warm.
Mini-Splits
One of the newest additions to the
game, mini-splits just like their older relatives use the same technology
that provides you with A/C, and redirects it except in a smaller
foot print. Often installed for specific
rooms, they're a great option for new additions, or historically uncomfortable spots.
